Tina Kuga Garrell, MHR - President
Tina Kuga Garrell is the owner and Managing Director of Insurance Advisors of Florida. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Arts in Human Resources from Rollins College. She started her career in Human Resources and Management at Universal Orlando, working in multiple HR departments, including Employee Relations, Employee Benefits, and Training and Development. Tina supported many operational departments there, Food & Beverage, Merchandise, Ride & Show, and Entertainment.
Tina decided to enter the world of Entrepreneurship and start her own insurance agency in 2006. She focused on building a full-service insurance agency, tailored to the needs of individuals and business owners. Tina has since won many awards in sales with Florida Blue, including "Top Individual and Group Sales" for the Central Region, and being awarded one of the "Top 100 Agents" in sales. She has built her agency into a Call Center, employing over 70 agents.
Tina has also been involved in multiple leadership roles as a Board Member for The Mustard Seed of Central Florida, a non-profit organization, as well as an Executive Board Member for the HR Florida State Council as their Conference Director.
Chad Garrell, MBA, MHA - Vice President
Chad is the owner and operator of Insurance Advisors of Florida. He graduated with his Master’s degrees in Health Administration and Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. He is responsible for hiring, recruiting, and managing multiple health insurance agents in a call-center environment. He developed an independent agency that offers multiple lines of products for clients and had maintained strong relationships with businesses across Florida across the entire state. Chad has also been a Licensed Practical Nurse for 12 years, and Nurse Manager for over 22 Nurses.
Alison Mello - Office Manager
Alison is an Office Mnager with Insurance Advisors of Florida. Alison has over 25+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, office management and operations, and in health care administration. She provides support to our clients, health insurance agents, and overall general office management of the office.
Courtney Johnson - Administrative Assistant
Courtney is an Administrative Assistant with Insurance Advisors of Florida. She has been with the organization for over 5 years and is responsible for our client accounts and general administrative duties.
